Since 1937, a group of women who formed what was originally known as the Cotillion Club have been working to ensure that Owensboro’s children and families have a voice in the community. Today, the Junior League of Owensboro is over 300 members strong and continues to meet many of the needs in our community through financial contributions, volunteer services and sales of our cookbooks.

Our local league supports programs such as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Grandma’s Corner Crisis Daycare, GREAT Starts, Layette Procurement and Assembly, Kids in the Kitchen and is currently emphasizing reading initiatives focusing on Early Learning.  Please visit our Projects and Events page for more information.

MISSION STATEMENT:
The Junior League of Owensboro is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in a commitment to voluntarism.
