Read Around the Park
More than 500 people attended the Junior League of Owensboro's Read Around the Park on April 30, 2011 at Moreland Park. Participants received  free books, free lunch, and enjoyed many activities focused on literacy and family fun.  What a beautiful day we had to celebrate reading!  read more

Kids in the Kitchen
Throughout the year JLO works with many community organizations and restaurants to provide a fun, educational, hands-on event called Kids in the Kitchen. This FREE event is a fun way to learn about healthy eating choices that can last a lifetime. KITK is one of the many "womanpower!" projects JLO does!. read more

Ladies Lunch and Learn

The Junior League of Owensboro was invited to attend the annual Ladies Lunch and Learn at Wright Implement for a morning of education and fun. Topics included equipment safety and a ride-n-drive session on the equipment.

Kids in the Kitchen

The Junior League of Owensboro is proud to be collaborating with the Owensboro Area Museum of Science and History for the second summer in a row - providing an award winning program:  KIDS IN THE KITCHEN. BB&T Bank volunteered during the summer and sponsored the summer program.  THANK YOU!  Thanks to great community sponsors and volunteers, children were able to partipate in eight awesome sessions!

What is Kids in the Kitchen?  Children of all ages can learn fun healthy tips about nutrition, exercise and what it means to stay healthy!  Delicious free foods, learn fun & easy food recipes, hands-on food preparation, games and many special guests - ALL FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

The biggest Kids in the Kitchen event of the year will take place December 29th.  For event times and details, call the museum (270) 687-2732.

Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The Junior League reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in a commitment to voluntarism.
