When are the meetings?

Training for all new members takes place over two evenings in August. General Membership Meetings (GMM), are held on the second Tuesday of every month from September to May. Board of Directors meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month, for those seated on the Board.

How much are annual dues for the League?

Dues for new members are $185, and these dues are collected at or before the September GMM. This amount covers annual Active membership ($125) and new member registration with AJLI ($60).

Dues for Active members are $190, and this is due by March GMM. This amount covers annual Active membership ($125), and Fair Market Value ticket prices for Charity Ball ($50) and Tea Party ($15).
*New members will pay dues twice during their first year–once in September for your first year, and again in March for the upcoming year.

Dues for Sustaining members are $85, and this is due by March GMM. This covers annual Sustainer membership.

What are the requirements for League members?

There are three levels of League membership: Provisional, Active, and Sustainer. Full requirements for each membership level are as follows:

Provisional Members (first year)

  • 2 group trainings
  • Group service project
  • New member induction
  • Attend at least 5 of 9 GMMs
  • Cookbook Committee/Taste of Owensboro
  • Charity Ball cleanup
  • Tea Party hours
  • Complete one Done-in-a-Day
  • $125 annual dues
  • $60 Provisional dues
  • Dues for following year are due in March

Active Members

  • In-League placement
  • Community placement
  • Attend at least 5 of 9 GMMs
  • Charity Ball Hours
  • Tea Party Hours
  • Complete one Done-in-a-Day
  • $190 annual dues (includes 1/2 CB ticket or FMV, and 1/2 Tea Party ticket or FMV)
  • Silent Auction donation or Sponsorship

Sustainers

  • Eligible after 7 years of active service
  • $85 Sustainer dues
