Done-in-a-Day

As a group of women who strive to serve the community in as many ways as possible, we welcome opportunities to assist other organizations when they need extra hands. Done-in-a-Day opportunities are community projects that Junior League members can assist with in one day or just a few hours. Local nonprofit agencies can reach out to the League for volunteers as needed. Past Done-in-a-Day projects have included…

• trail guides and water station workers at the annual Healthpark 5K/10K;
• working on houses for Habitat-4-Humanity;
• assisting with the annual Cinderella’s Closet event;
• helping with registration at Help-Portrait™ Owensboro;
• working a booth at the Owensboro Walk for Apraxia;
• working layette drives.

If you are part of a nonprofit organization in Daviess County and are looking for a few extra volunteers for a day, please contact us.

Many hands make light work.
